Does supplementing additional vitamin D help prevent cardiovascular disease?\n------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\n(No) [18 Correlational study]: "serum levels of 1,25-(OH)2-vitamin D were found to be inversely correlated to the blood pressure..."  \n(No) [16 A meta-study] concluded "vitamin D and/or calcium supplementation also showed no overall effect on CVD, cancer, and mortality."  \n(No) [1b Another meta-analysis] concluded "the effect estimate for vitamin D supplementation with or without calcium for myocardial infarction or ischaemic heart disease... lay within the futility boundary, indicating that vitamin D supplementation does not alter the relative risk of any of these endpoints by 15% or more."  \n(No) And yet [1f another meta-analysis] showed no effect as well.',
